Day 1 – Arrival in Perugia

Transfer to your vespas rental place to pic them up and, if you are not an expert, to receive a brief riding lesson. Ride to your accommodation which is only a few kilometers away. If you arrive early enough, (before 2 o’ clock) you may have a cooking class (not included in the price)

MONTEFALCO

Day 2 – Poggiolo- Perugia/Montefalco – (65km)

We are now in the heart of Umbria; visit Deruta a famous ceramic makers’ place and Torgiano, Lungarotti wineries home town; if a wine tasting might be dangerous for your safety (!) a visit to the wine and olive oil museum is advised. Spend the night in a charming Villa just outside Montefalco, where, once the vespas safely home, you can savour a glass of Sagrantino, the most fasmous of Umbria wines.

GIOTTO’S FRESCOES

Day 3 – Montefalco/Spello/Assisi (50 km)

Today visit this beautifull town; then ride to Spello a very nice and less touristy small town on the Subasio slopes. Assisi, with the St Francis basilica and its Giotto’s frescoes is the clou of the day. Night in a lovely country Inn within walking distance of the Basilica.

ONE DAY IN PERUGIA
